Many original manuscripts of Sulaiman Moulid’s work are handwritten on aged paper, stored in private libraries in Lamu or Zanzibar. These are deteriorating. Digital archivists and university researchers (from institutions like SOAS University of London or the University of Dar es Salaam) are scanning and distributing PDFs to prevent the total loss of this heritage.
