The Virar-Alibaug Multi-Modal Corridor (VAMC) is one of India’s most ambitious infrastructure undertakings. Envisioned as a 126-kilometer economic lifeline, it aims to connect the northernmost tip of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR)—Virar—with the southern coastal town of Alibaug in Raigad district.
