Bounce Boing Voyage Android New Today
This paper explores the integration of playful, spring-like auditory and haptic feedback (“bounce” and “boing”) into navigation metaphors (“voyage”) for next-generation Android interfaces (“new”). We argue that dynamic, physics-inspired sound schemes can enhance user engagement and perceived fluidity in mobile interactions. Through a prototype analysis, we demonstrate how “boing” mappings to touch-release events reduce cognitive load during exploratory tasks.
