The most distinctive feature is the protagonist, (played by MarĂa Pujalte). She is a murder squad inspector in Madrid, but she’s also the recently separated mother of twins (Cris and Guille). Unlike angsty, lone-wolf detectives, Laura’s character is defined by her need to solve homicides while managing school runs, last-minute babysitting, birthday parties, and ex-husband drama. The show deliberately draws parallels between handling children and handling suspects.
