The C700's debut was marked by high-profile short films designed to push its technical boundaries. One of the most notable early entries is The Calling

Red Bull’s media house released a popular 4-minute video showing a C700 mounted to a race bike. The "install" portion of this video is famous: the crew rigged the camera with a gyro-stabilizer and a 10mm lens. The resulting footage—blurring tarmac and clear rider helmets—proved that the C700, despite its weight, could survive 180mph winds and vibration.

The C700’s default LCD is a large, 8.8-inch touch panel that mounts to the top handle. However, most professional installs bypass this for the (a $5,000 electronic viewfinder). Installing the EVF requires mounting an arm to the camera cage, running a dedicated Lemo cable, and calibrating the peaking and false color settings.
