For decades, the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) has set the industry standard for river hydraulics with its HEC-RAS software. However, raw hydraulic modeling is only half the battle. The real challenge lies in preparing geometric data (river alignments, cross-sections, bank lines, and flow paths) and visualizing model results. This is where enters the picture.
The is a proposed update module for HEC-GeoRAS designed to run natively within ArcGIS 10.8. Yeah. I tweak it a bit for each wedding I do and just read it. I practice it a few times so my delivery is still good. But it’s too important of a moment to risk a mistake, so nobody complains about a good reading.
