The RTL8192EU is a USB 2.0 device. Plugging it into a USB 3.0 port sometimes causes radio interference due to the high-speed signaling on the 2.4 GHz frequency. Use a USB 2.0 extension cable or a USB 2.0 hub to distance the adapter from the USB 3.0 port.
